Dr. Caroline Daravi
I am a licensed clinical psychologist, board certified in couple and family psychology through the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP). I offer adult individual, couple and sex therapy. I received my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D) at the California School of Professional Psychology in Los Angeles and received my Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Near Eastern Studies at UCLA. I have advanced training in couples and sex therapy.
I believe in the ‘person-of-the-therapist’ as a key component of an effective treatment. Therapists can only help their clients to the limit of their willingness to personally stretch and grow. For this reason, each year, I attend numerous workshops, trainings, and consultation sessions to make sure I stay attuned and flexible so I can give my clients the best of me.
I have great respect for the psychotherapy process, and I treat my clients with kindness, care, and warmth. Yet, I will challenge my clients to evaluate the parts of themselves that have gone unexamined; these parts left alone will lead to old non-effective behaviors. I believe those who have the courage to self-confront are more likely to make specific decisions toward change. I hope to create an environment where my clients can let go of their comfort zone and step into a more purposeful way of being, even though it may be difficult at the moment.
I love what I do, and I value being a part of your journey.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. My background includes individual and group counseling, as well as crisis support, with children, families and adults. My involvement working with at-risk youth and families in nonprofits, as well as with adults in inpatient behavioral health, has offered me the opportunity to assist individuals and families rising above life obstacles. I currently focus my practice on supporting individuals and families in overcoming anxiety, depression, PTSD, experiencing and expressing emotions, navigating through family changes, building healthy perceptions, cultivating compassion, and recognizing and releasing barriers to effect change. I have an integrative, strengths-based approach, drawing from a variety of modalities, including motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma informed care, and mindfulness interventions, adapted to each individual and situation. My passion is working with children and incorporating play and arts therapies to stimulate whole brain responses toward healing.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have experience working with diverse populations, including domestic violence victims, health care workers, students, and the LGBTQ community. I also have served in the military, worked as a teacher, and have experience with at-risk and severely abused/disturbed children. My experience has shown that life is at times confusing, and difficult to navigate especially when you are trying to figure it out alone. It can be very helpful to have someone who is outside of your circle to talk to. My goal is to work with my clients to help them understand their inner most emotions and beliefs. Through this understanding we can come to acceptance and start to make healthier choices I am currently seeing both adults and couples. I understand seeking therapy can be intimidating, if you have any questions I would be more then happy to help you answer them.
